It’s Official! Toast Wins Best Videographers Award

Toast has officially won the 2022 New Zealand Wedding Industry award for Outstanding Videographer and we couldn’t be more chuffed! The Wedding Industry Awards have been running since 2016, the categories cover florist, planning, makeup artists photography, videography, and 20 others (20!?). The categories are filled with so many great finalists, who we are pretty proud to stand alongside.

Our fellow finalists in the videography category were:

Eureka Films – Cristian is based in our neck of the woods, filming around Wanaka and Queenstown.

Dear White Productions – Dan and Jo, Auckland-based creatives who like to zip around the country to capture those wedding moments, make incredible films.

V Visuals – Vivi is a creative based in Wellington with a funky background of creative escapades, including songwriting.

Wedding with Ni – Sam Ni is based in Auckland and can speak both fluent Mandarin and English. I only know English and honestly, I don’t know if I’m even fluent at it.

What Makes Toast So Special?

I bet you’re wondering what the judges saw to dub us as finalists. Well, I am not sure, but here are the three main reasons I think we caught their eye. The jaw-dropping, show-stopping locations just have to be a part of it. Us Toasties live in the adventure capital of New Zealand, so our love for nature is kind of a given. Capturing the vistas with our epic drone shots and timelapse sets the scene for your final film. The high-quality capture. We take great pride in our technical skills. Our gear set-up is double and triple-checked for each shoot. The care doesn’t stop after the day is over, the Toastie who filmed your big day also gets to edit the footage. This means your film is cared for by the same people from the moment you contact us.

And last but not least, YOU! This wouldn’t be possible without all the couples we have had the pleasure of filming, tie the ole knot.

We love seeing the Instagram DMs and email inquiries come through & hearing about your big day coming up and what you love about our previous wedding films. But mostly, we love filming and editing unique wedding films. Why? Because our work is a mirror of who these amazing couples are, and boy oh boy do they look good.

It’s no easy feat trekking around the top of snowy peaks and getting majorly techy when the filming studio changes from minute to minute. But for us, Toasties, filming in the rain, wind, heat, and 2000 metres in the air is all in a day’s work. We are trained to be adaptable, techy, artsy chameleons. Toast being recognised for our effort and passion is so sick.
